Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station | [Cooperative Extension of Somerset County]

About Us

Our mission is to help the diverse population of Somerset County and New Jersey adapt to a rapidly changing society and to improve their lives through an educational process that uses science-based knowledge focused on issues and needs related to family and economic well-being; agriculture, the environment, and natural resource management; and youth development.

As an integral part of the Rutgers New Jersey Agriculture Experiment Station and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, we provide practical education for all people without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture, the State of New Jersey, and the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and provides education in 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture & Resource Management, Family & Community Health Sciences, and Lawn & Garden.
