- Who are they?
These volunteers are individuals or representatives of corporations and associations willing to promote sustainable agriculture here in Somerset County, or serve in recognition of their outstanding contributions to agriculture. - What do they do?
Members advance, promote, enhance, assist, encourage, and support the presence, practice, and profitability of agriculture in all of its facets. They assist allied interests and businesses in serving the best interests and objectives of agriculture and provide a liaison between the N.J. Department of Agriculture, N.J. Farm Bureau, and Rutgers NJAES Cooperative Extension. - What type of services do they provide?
Due consideration is given to the agricultural, geographical, and special interest areas of interested volunteers and potential elected officials. Program outreach serves the best interests of agriculture as they relate to economics, the environment, aesthetics, and other quality of life issues here in Somerset County and throughout the Garden State. - How do you get involved?

- The Tom Everett Memorial Scholarship
The Somerset County Board of Agriculture is proud to administer the Tom Everett Memorial Scholarship. This annual scholarship was created to honor Tom’s personal and agricultural legacy, his initiative and leadership, and seeks to recognize those individuals whose goals are synonymous with Tom’s living definition of success.
